Rosanne Wielemaker, Intern

Rosanne Wielemaker recently graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Art.  Her undergraduate honors thesis focused on how utopian visions re-conceptualized the role of agriculture, both socially and structurally, within the urban landscape. She has conducted extensive research on urban agriculture in various countries including Cuba and the Netherlands. Rosanne has a strong interest in urban design and sustainability and plans to attend graduate school in Europe next fall to combine these interests. Although a Dutch citizen, she hopes to return to her birth country, Costa Rica, to contribute to its sustainable development.
