Deirdre Pfeiffer, PURL Scholar

Deirdre Pfeiffer is an Assistant Professor in the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning. She is committed to research and practice that leads the Phoenix region to more equitably house people of diverse backgrounds in socioeconomic mobility-enabling neighborhoods. Before coming to ASU, she studied resident engagement in public housing redevelopment, the process of passing inclusionary housing ordinances, and the determinants of multiracial neighborhood diversity. Dr. Pfeiffer’s current research projects include affordable housing strategies for the Phoenix region, the outcomes of the foreclosure crisis, and the costs and benefits of living in exurbia.
